Greenbank Dental COVID-19 Guidelines
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic we are introducing measures to reduce the risk to both our patients and our staff. Please familiarize yourself with our new protocols before coming to the office for your appointment. Please note that there is an online form which needs to be filled out prior to your visit (see the link above). We will make every effort to schedule high-risk patients who have an urgent need for treatment during the first appointments of the day to maximize the social distancing factor. “High-risk” can include, but is not limited to, patients over the age of 65, immunocompromised, and, or, infirm patients.
All patients will be screened on the telephone prior to their appointment. If there is a change in your health between your screening call and your appointment please call back and let us know.
Before your visit to the office you will be required to fill out an online COVID-19 screening and consent form. Please see the link to the form at the end of this section.
Arriving at the Office
Once you arrive at the practice, please stay in your car and call 613-596-1272, or text your name to 1-833-423-3685, to let us know you have arrived. We will call you back at your preferred number once we are ready to see you in the office. By doing this, we hope to drastically limit the amount of people in the office at any given time. If you do not drive to the practice, please wait outside or in the lobby ensuring that you are practicing social distancing.
Restriction on Individuals Accompanying the Patient
Patients are to enter the practice by themselves; all individuals accompanying a patient must wait outside the practice unless absolutely required. Exceptions will be made for specific circumstances such as a parent accompanying a young child or a patient who requires accommodation. Individuals who qualify under an exception are required to abide by the same rules as the patients themselves, as listed below, such as but not limited to, wearing a mask, non-contact temperature assessment, and hand hygiene. Please note that exempted individuals must also complete the online screening questionnaire.
Protocols for Patients
All patients will be required to wear a mask in the office, and will only remove their mask during their treatment.
A staff member will greet you once you enter the reception area and will conduct a non-contact temperature assessment and sanitize your hands.
Please abstain from any unnecessary physical contact with the staff such as hand shaking.
Once your appointment is completed you will be escorted back to the reception area. All payment and insurance processing will be done either remotely, (your receipt will be mailed or emailed to you), or at the front desk if social distancing allows. Please ensure you are mindful of social distancing and do not approach within 2m of the front desk staff until the glass barriers are installed.
All patients must preform hand hygiene before leaving the clinic.
All patients and those who accompany them, are required to report any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 within the next 14 days after your dental appointment.
